Default 6.2l cat-back exhaust

I'm on the hunt for a good cat-back exhaust for a 6.2l SC SB. Basically, I'm not looking for something crazy loud. I want to still be able to use hands-free phone and be able to carry on a conversation inside. The factory exhaust is just a bit too quiet. I like to be able to hear the engine running. I've tried listening to You Tube videos, but either the quality of the video sucks, or all someone did was just sit and rev the **** out if it. I want it to be a little louder than stock idling, louder when getting on it, and about stock (no drone) while cruising.

If anyone here has a 6.2l exhaust, please post up specs and thoughts about it. Sound clips would be a big plus too! I like the Borla S-Type, Corsa Db, etc for the 5.0, but not sure if the sound would be similar on the 6.2.

I just put a Banks Monster setup on my 5.0 and I love it. It was very reasonably priced and seems to be of very good quality. It's has a super deep sound with no popping or cracking on revving or idling down. I do have a 5.0 so not sure how the 6.2 would sound but just thought I would throw the Banks setup out as an option. Don't see a lot of mention on them. So far I'm very pleased!

I'll check into them. The clips I've heard on Magnaflows sound good, but people say they drone really bad.

Default Mbrp

I have a 6.2 & was looking for the same thing you are. I bought the MBRP stainless system with resonator and muffler. I like it a lot, it's not too loud under normal driving but you can really hear it when you put your foot down. The only time I can hear any type of drone is when towing a heavy load on interstate. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Does your MBRP sound anything like their soundclips for their Raptor kit?

Anybody come across a left/right side exit for the 6.2? I only have found dual side, single side or rear exit.

I was looking for a dual exhaust for months for the long bed super crew and had problems finding a kit.

In the meantime, I ended up removing the stock muffler and installing a Flowmaster HD 50. Not super loud, but a nice, mellow, throaty sound at idle and under acceleration. No drone.

Corsa's are supposed to be drone free, if they make one for the 6.2.
