Don't get me wrong I loved both of my 5.4L they were great motors but the transmissions were garbage my 2008 stone green went thru 3 transmission but now that I have this power plant it just feels like a truck now

Glad to see others with the 6.2! I am really glad that I found it. I too love the low end grunt of this motor, and unlike the 5.4 it will rev too! Before the tune the 5.4 felt like it ran out of breath at 3.5k. After the tune, much better, but for sure it doesn't pull near as hard as this!

Sometime soon hopefully I will get the *5 tune. maybe that would be a good Christmas / bday present for me...

Tune it. I had 2 6.2 F150s... now just one... well.. I still have another 6.2 but it's a 15 Silverado that will blow these Fords away stock for stock lol. The 6.2 in the f150 is so torque limited on the low end it's not even funny... so lame and boring off the line. Once you remove that rubbish it drives like how it should from the factory and has the ability to smoke the tires at will. I went with JDM engineering for a tune as he will remove a lot of the limiters these 6.2 trucks have that aren't even present in the 5 liter or ecoboost trucks. No other tuning company does what they do and I couldn't be happier in that regard. Mine needs a blower though... it's still too slow for me lol. My f150 is long tubes, exhaust, intake and tune.... plus my truck is a 157" wheelbase FX4 appearance package with max tow. . So no its not a Raptor.

Engine wise you should never have any major problems as they are pretty well proven in fleet super dutys now. You might just end up with a truck like the one I dumped that had no engine problems but was a rolling pile of scrap metal otherwise. Luck of the draw.

Yes, I can agree with you on the blower and JDM for tuning. My truck was quick with the bolt on SSW LT, BBK tb, CAI, exhaust and 5* tune but not enough till I Roushchaged it.

You guys are true speed freaks! I love it I hope to get the 5* tune sometime soon. Thanks for the inputs. What size of tires are you running? Those scorpions don't seem to be very good. and when I upgrade to some new rubber I may just get a slightly larger size. I may do a level in the future, but no other lift. Thoughts on a nice solid tire size for my factory 20's?

Alpine, thank you yet again! Glad to have you here Sounds like we drive our trucks very similarly. I too won't do any off roading. Mainly this will be my family hauler as well as projects around the house typical for a truck. But mostly street tires is what I need as well. I would rather have the more quite smoother ride. I would like to have the larger size like you suggested as well!
