Default Question on ('12) FX4 window sticker

I was checking (on-line) dealer stock at the dealer in the area where I recently relocated to, and found a window sticker for an FX4 (2012) which is set up exactly like I want, except that it has the 20" wheels, which I do not want. Not easy to switch with another truck on their lot, as they seem to order 20's on most dealer ordered stock here; as in SoCal most buyers seem to like the 20's over the 18's.

In this regard, am I reading the (top) of the federal sticker right; is this going to be built on July 27th, or is it the date of the 20th at the bottom of the sheet?? Still think I will wait for a '13; but just thinking all options for right now....BTW--I love both the Black and the White with the FX4; but it gets so hot down here in this Mediterranean climate with semi-desert terrain, that the White may be best here?

I guess if that is the case, this would arrive in about a month or so...from KC plant?

Yes it'll be built on the 27th. My window sticker for my FX4 had the date on top which corresponded exactly with the build date my dealer old me. By the way just curios why you don't want the 20" tires? I had an XLT prior to my FX4 which had 18s and really like the look of the 20s. You'll be happy either way. Good luck!

Thanks, with these new format Fed stickers, I couldn't remember if it was the date at the top of the page or the one at the very bottom?

So I guess this truck will be built tomorrow, and most likely will be near the very end of the '12 run, as they do need some down time, before firing up the '13 line near the end of August.

As to the wheel size; I have always liked larger rubber, as I like to play around in the desert and up in the mountains, wherein you have more protection for the wheel with the higher side walls on the tires. Also, the ride is much better with the larger rubber, IMO.

Also there are more tire choices with the 18" similar to how there are even more with the 17" tires. You will note that the Raptor comes with the 17" wheel, as this will perform better off-road. If I was just running on the hwy. or in the city most of the time, the 20's might be fine.

Last, I just like the look of that large rubber on the leveled truck.
