Im having the same issue with my 2011 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4 Off Road Ecoboost. The truck shakes pretty bad at 55 to 60 MPH. When Im driving by myself and hit about 55 the passenger seat looks like its going to shake right out of the truck. Im taking it into the dealer tomorrow morning to have that and several other items looked at. Hopefully they will find an issue this time other than saying it is normal. I remember a similar issue with the 04's to 06's where ford came out with some sort of coupler or something for the driveline to help with the same type of complaint. Think there was actually a TSB for it but dont know the TSB #. Anyway yeah just like everyone else. Why are we all paying 35 to 45 thousand for trucks that are brand new that shake like trucks that have been driven around a construction site for the last 5 years. Not real happy with an answer of normal operating condition.

yeah thats not normal at all. Id punch some **** bag in the face if he told me it was because of stiffer suspension. What a dumbass!! Look at all the lifted trucks 09/10 with 35s and 37s and they are smooth as glass at all speeds. Mine inclided. Id be addressing ford on this one. The only thing it could be IMO as a Tech would be a unbalanced driveshaft, bad carrier bearings or bad u joints. Could even be axles that are defective.

There is one other thing I have seen cause this and that is a warped brake rotor.....

However, it does sound like the drive shaft out of balance or out of round tires....

I'm a lot more concerned now that I see so many people with 6.5' beds having the problem. Makes me think it's not the tires.

Dealer is trying another new tire today then if that doesn't fix it we are going to move on to the driveshaft...

I took one of my older trucks into a drivetrain specialty shop to diagnose a vibration. They put the whole truck up on a rack and sped it up to find the shaking component. Turned out to be tires. The tire shop was sloppy balancing after several attempts to get it right. Tire shop change cured it.

GUYS im now at the dealer for the third time on this issue.. This time they took the wheels and tires and driveshaft out of another truck and put it on mine. Apparently no difference. They took all driveline measurements and even notified engineers on the issue. They checked all mounts. And of coarse balanced the tires for the third time now. They told me they drove two other fx4s and felt no difference. Again he proceeded to tell me that its a truck and it wont drive like a cadillac. I told him that i dont understand why my brothers 96 f150 drives better than my 2011. He told me that you cannot compare this truck to any other being so different and new. He told me that you cant even compare it to a 09 because the transmission is different.. And this guy is a service manager? I told them to put weight in the bed and see if theres any difference and that when i come up i will drive the fx4s for proof. I somehow doubt people are buying these fx4s and not noticing it. Its pretty prominate in the cab of the truck. Im in a brand new 2011 rental truck right now and for god sakes its a dodge and it has no shakes what so ever at any speeds... Guys whats my next step in this.. They havent offered me any buy back yet and usually its three strikes and its out. I cannot stand to believe this truck is suppose to do this fx4 or not. Im about to lose my cool on these guys....

Have you driven one of these other FX4s that the dealer says is no different? If you find that the other trucks have the same issue as yours then you will have your answer and must decide if you want a different brand or model from there.
