Wait...i assumed you were talking about HIDs. I know that 55W hids will melt housing and 35W will not (this is what ive had for 1.5 years now). Im not sure if a 35W halogen and 35W HID burn at the same temp. Maybe someone can chime in and help out with that one.

55w hid will def melt the lens, ive heard 35w dont melt them like 55s but over time the lens with fog up from the amount of heat concentrated in one area on the lens. dont know about regular bulbs i would suggest LED bulbs. they look like hids but burn a lot cooler and will last a lot longer

yes but the parking /blinkers is a switch back led. when i turn them on as parking lights they are 5000k white, when i put my blinker on their amber. heres a link so you can see what it looks like
