5 Star 87 Performance/Tow tune

I have to give some feedback on 5 Star for their 87 Performance/Tow tune, I installed the tune on a 2013 F150 5.0 yesterday and wow what a difference. First off, I ordered the tune in the morning, less than two hours later they sent me the file, I loaded the tune into a otherwise stock F150 5.0, you can feel the change immediately, better throttle response, much better/quicker shift without being to aggressive, 6500 rpm red line, truck is a totally different animal, best of all 20 MPG cruising at 55 mph (3.55's with stock size tires)

Got to give a big  to 5 Star on this tune.

I've been running the same one for a few months and really enjoy it as well. I'm running 20's now with 305/55 tires and you can tell it's a touch more sluggish but the tune still really helps!

what tuner did you end up going with?

They are great to work with. I had to have them tweak the rolling downshift points twice in that same tune and they were super fast to get me the updated changes. Just a word of caution, don't load a tune within a few hundred miles and then try to pass emissions. I found out today when I failed because there "was not enough sensor data" in the truck memory. Make sure you've got some highway time and a few hundred miles on a new tune before any emissions testing.

I've been running it for years in my '11 - if you do any towing you'll see that it isn't spending as much time hunting for gears on hills anymore too.

I really need to get me a tuner! LoL

Which tune of theirs are your running? Some of 5 Star tunes will never pass an emissions test because they will never the O2, O2 Heater, or Catalyst monitors.

Fyi
When you purchase the tune, 5* asks if you if emissions tests are required in your area

Correct...it's on the bottom of the Cal form you need to fill out.
