Oh boy. I've got a cover and a bed rug in my truck. I guess I better go get sized for a skirt.
But then again my use and reasons for purchasing my choice of vehicle is no concern to anybody on this forum. Unless you plan on pitching in on a few payments, don't worry about it.

Hi guys I responded earlier.I live in a nice country area.No crime with a 3 car garage that's 900 sq feet.I could fit a Screw with an 8' bed I they made it.
. But I did,nt want that.I like the look of my truck like I said it fits my needs my family's needs.I have a car that's going to be a show car enough needed a truck for that.
Whatever ur reasons are that's great.I am sure we all have enough of our own problems in life to worry about than why Joe down the street bought his truck with 6'-5" bed instead of the 5'-5" bed.Just enjoy ur truck with your family and friends.

I think the 5.5" and 6.5" are both great vehicles.
Choose whatever works for your purpose.
I have a 3 car very deep garage filled with toys, my F150 stays outside.

My garaged truck will look better than your non-garaged truck in 5 years. Guaranteed.
If I couldn't fit an F-150 in my garage, I'd be driving a different vehicle.

I have a silver truck, rarely have salt on the roads, drive less than 5,000 miles a year and have an obsessive disorder with cleaning my truck.
Ill take that bet.

All that aside, the single biggest thing I do for the appearance of my truck.......parking it in a garage. The benefits of doing so are endless. Plastics, rubber, weatherstripping, interior all benefit from not being exposed to the sun. Reducing the number of heat cycles the clearcoat/paint have to withstand is huge.
If you don't think parking a vehicle outside degrades appearance or accelerates aging you're either living in denial...........or you've never parked one in a garage.

https://www.codot.gov/travel/winter-.../products.html
CDOT uses a variety of products to treat Colorado highways during a winter storm. All of the products contain salt with added corrosion inhibitors used to prevent or remove the build up of ice and snow on roads and minimize the impact on vehicles.
A garage does help keep a vehicle looking newer, longer....but salt and corrosion is going to happen in any northern snow state where salt is used. Everytime you drive into your garage and that salt and snow melts, and begins the humidity it leads to increased corrosion in the garage then it would if it stayed outside.
