I have the 6.5' bed and love the extra space, pain to park sometimes but wouldn't trade for a shorter bed

Go with the 6.5' and park it in the sticks.

Walk the extra 100 yards from that end of the parking lot and save yourself the door dings from the soccer moms driving Screws with 5.5' boxes.

Tons of posts on this already. If you need the space go 6.5. If you want the best looks go 5.5

I've got the 6.5 and have not once wished I had the 5.5. There's been numerous times I've thought to myself that I'm glad I got the longer one. Chance are, if you are wondering which to get, you need the 6.5.

I would avoid the 6.5 bed if I had it to do over again. Avoid the shudder associated with 6.5 beds on the screws. There appears to be a fix but my 2012 has it. I like the bed space and think the longer bed looks better. Rides better with longer wheel base. iMHO. Test drove both.

I don't know about the best looks, the 5.5 always looks stumpy like its a big Explorer sportrac. The salesman tried to talk me into getting the 5.5, but I thought I would be pissed the first time I went to load something simple like a matress in the bed. So I bought the 6.5. By chance after I had the truck a week, my mom called. She had bought a mattress, it was sure nice throwing the mattress in the back and shutting the tailgate. I think if I had to do it over again I would plead for a 8' with my screw.

glad i opted 5.5' otherwise wouldn't fit in my garage. also, easier to park in public parking and not worrying some drunks might hit my bumpers for over occupying the parking spot.
