5.0 SCT Custom tunes

I just placed my Order with 5 star. I ordered the SCT Livewire TS and I got the 87 perf/tow, 87 econ, 93 perf/tow, and 93 econ tunes. Mike has been great so far and even though you get 6 tunes with the order he let me only pick 4 and save the other two for when I get more of the mods completed. I completed the order form yesterday, and completed the order today(sunday) so Im not expecting to get everything to late in thwe week or early next week. I will update you guys on which tunes I prefer wand what characteristics I see. Also I have the 5.4l, but i wanted to chip in.

One of these weekends when I got a little time to mess around I will shoot a 0-60 video with the stock tune from Ford, 87 Economy tune from 5 Star, and then the 87 Performance tune from 5 Star.
I think doing that and having it on video would give everyone a good idea of what a big difference it makes to your vehicle!
My only problem is finding the extra time and also finding a little stretch of highway that nobody drives on down here. I'm in the middle of the oil field, so it's kind of hard to find one now, haha!

I have the 87 performance and 91 performance from 5star as well, and have the exact same issues as mechanicboy.... The 91 tune definitely has more power, but the shifting is not that good, especially part throttle. I also had a major part throttle shift flare issue on 3-4 and 4-5 that is supposedly from the torque management, although it is nearly imperceptible on the stock ford tune.
I think a lot of the perceived gains on the 87 tune are from the overly sensitive throttle, as I did back to back testing with my g-tech and the tune was worth about a tenth of a second and half a mile per hour..... The overly sensitive throttle, and refusal to up shift at part throttle around town has so far netted me a solid 1.5 mpg loss too.
With all that said, Mike has been working with me to fine tune these issues, so props for that. I would love to try the Lund tune, but for 2 bills, I would be better off taking it to my tuner and having him live tune it....

I tried 3 tunes each from MPT, and 5 star. Without going into much detail I found the 5 star 89 perf/tow to be a perfect tune for me. Low end, Top end, and shifting are great. Solo and towing . Don't see the 89 tunes mentioned here. Seems most go with either the 87 or 91 tunes...

This was the first time I've actually done it and the road I was on kind of sucked cause it was hard to tell if another car was going to come my direction or not as well.
Not trying to make excuses, but I'd like to do it when I know I can have no worries at all.
Also I'd like to compare it to stock and then the tunes.
