Drove 3400 miles Toronto, Ontario to St.Pete's, Florida and back. Interstate speeds most of the way and almost 1000 miles bopping around doing vacation stuff in Florida. Handled amazing through the mountains of the Virginias. Never once was I wishing for more power, and as a matter of fact, I was truly thrilled with how much ***** my truck had. Figure I was getting close to payload capacity. Big truck, everyone figures they can take more stuff!
Total average from my driveway to my driveway was 19.4 mpg. Best tank was my last with 20.6. Needless to say, I really was pleased as we were quite loaded up.
Still a baby at ten months and 12500 miles, but my total average for the truck is 17.7 mpg which typically is a 50/50 city/highway split with alot of light to moderate towing in the nicer months. Definitely has some crappy mileage tanks every now and then, but a few good highway runs and it all seems to average out.

Grand Master...of nothing
I'm averaging about 17.4 commuting to and from work and around rural south Ga which is probably 70/30 hwy/city...when I get stretched out on longer extended runs she's got up to 19.6 but never seen 20.

2011 Lariat Screw 4X4 short bed. 3.73 rear gears. Truck has just passed the 15,000 mile mark. Drove from Illinois to Iowa and back. Stayed under 65 mph, and round trip average according to the gauge was 21.8. Since I always fill up at 1/2 tank because I have the 36 gallon tank, it usually takes from .5 to a full gallon more to fill than the gauge reports, so figuring it out by gallons used, it still read a little over 20 mpg for the trip. There was no wind on the way out, and a little tail wind on the way back, so probably would have been closer to 19 with wind resistance. All in all very pleased with the 5.0. I just added another 5.0 to the fleet with a 2012 Mustang GT convertible.
