Default 5.0 with highest mileage

Seems to be a lot of posts about how superior these new engines are to the earlier 4.6 and 5.4. Just wondering who out there actually owns a 5.0 with upwards of say 150-200K. I have the 5.0 and love it so far (18k miles). Just wondering.....

Me too.I recently changed plugs on a f150 5.4 for the first time with 360k! The customer used it for a landscaping truck. Ran pretty good afterward. Let's hope the 5.0 holds up.

So your looking for someone that puts on 50,000 miles or even 50,000 Kilometers per year?

64K miles on mine. Not so much as a hiccup. It even sat for the last month in the cold and I went out on a -5 day and it started right up. IT wont be climbing as fast now that I have a beater to help the F150 stay around longer.

I put 80K on my old work 3.55 5.0L in the year and a half that I had it. One of our drivers that does in town runs has it now and it has about 110k miles. Only issue when I had it was a transmission TSB done for hard shifting.

There was 60k on my 2011 when it was replaced due to vibration/noise one month ago. Now the replacement motor has almost 1k on it. . But, aside from the isolated incident like mine, I am not seeing too many major motor malfunctions. I'm also not seeing any that are really beyond 100k yet. However I don't work at a dealer and wouldn't see as many 5.0 motors as they would at this point in time
