I would say off idle with mild throttle in town, my Tremor is a little unresponsive. I have never floored it from a stop so cannot speak to that.

Most of my driving is on the highway and its an absolute beast. I find turbo preload as I call it gives the best drivability on the highway, meaning if you give it say 30% throttle for a sec or so and allow the turbos to wind up and then floor it, it seems to accelerate quicker than if you just punch it.

Maybe cause there is some noticeable lag in that situation. Another thing I noticed but have not heard before is the converter seems to be a bit loose, more like a high stall which affects take off a little

If you buy any production turbo vehicle expecting to be spinning the wheels off the line, you're going to be disappointed.

Better option for that would be a RCSB 5.0 with a blower.

I won't say I was expecting to be able to roast the tires, but I expected better performance than I'm getting from a TT engine with 4.10 rear gears

I know part of my post was that it wouldn't spin them, but that's not the main intent. It just feels gutless.

This mirrors my experience with my Tremor as well. From reading posts elsewhere from other Tremor owners, this seems to be partly due to the factory tune.

So I got my OBD wifi scanner and was messing around with it last night. The most I saw was 13.3psi and it only spiked that high for an instant, once. The other times it spiked to around 12.5. It mostly hovered between 10-11.7 psi, and once it spiked it dropped to around 8 before shifting.

I did 0-60 twice, the first was 8.07 seconds just just hitting the gas from a stop. The second time I rode the brake and built a little boost before taking off and was 7.77 seconds.

Mines a bigger truck, but I'll do the same so we can compare. I'll change it back to stock before the runs.

Did it feel really different off the line when brake boosting?

Not a ton, but I didn't go crazy with the RPM either. It chirped the tires a little and then took off, but nothing like one would expect from this configuration.

The advertised 0-60 times I saw were 5.9 seconds just for reference.

My 2011 will break the tires loose (33x12.50 MTs) and some time spin them pretty good...but not until it hits 15-20mph due to the throttle management and turbo lag. If you boost launch it will roast em and shut down if TC is on.

I feel it does better if you roll into it a little then mat it once you can feel the boost building.

you'll only hit peak/target boost briefly, so that's normal. It's a linear curve.

Have you done a boost leak test? Might turn up something since you're only hitting 13.3 if the target boost really is supposed to be 14.5

I haven't. I've never owned a turbo vehicle that I had any desire to work on (had a 2013 Audi with full warranty), so I don't have whatever tools are needed nor do I know how.
