5.0 Custom Exhaust
I'm thinking about putting an exhaust on my truck. I don't want to spend $500 on a cat-back system so I'm thinking of having an exhaust shop do a custom one. I'm looking for ideas as far as what muffler to use and pipe size so if anyone has a custom exhaust details and pictures if you have them would be greatly appreitiated.

Well, I went with a 3 inch pipe straight into my 3 inch dynomax race bullett muffler then straight into my 3 inch factory tail pipe. Started just behind the flange at the y pipe. I plan on getting a new flange made for the exhaust side to get rid of the ugly weld. I would recommend leaving the factory flange on the y pipe. If not I suspect they could say you altered the factory y-pipe since that's where the cats are I was a little Leary. Any way it sounds very deep

I basically did the same thing as medic but used a Borla 3" si/so muffler and also deleted my resonator (not sure if medic did that too or not). I love the sound of my Borla, first time to run one- definitely recommend one.

were you concentrating on focusing a camera on your dash with a child in the truck?

No actually I was on the phone with my wife. ( speaker) she was trying to turn the tv down but my son wanted it back up. Also on a closed to public private road. I would never try to video with a kid in the truck!! Actually I'm a paramedic so I've seen some crazy things. If you listen you can hear him say turn it on( the tv) anyway it is not a great video but it was something quick that I could do at my house.

Also you can buy the mid-pipe at :http://www.tascaparts.com/parts/2010...t=FRONT%20PIPE Plus you can undo it if you dont like it, and you will spend more if you do 2 welds at the muffler shop.
I am running the resonator delete pipe and a Borla S-type 2.5" si/so and totally love mine.
