2009 lariet crew cab center support bearing failure
while driving made a right turn herd a load bang and vibration pulled over center support bearing broke away from mount drive shaft drop. was only a short distance from home put four ways on drove it home. called ford parts department told me it was a non service part would have to buy anew drive shaft assy at $900.00 plus. my question is why would ford engineers design a part that can`t be replace. was told it was only on 2009/10 year model. so went on line found a used one at a cost of$300.00 also found out a drive shaft shop can build one
with all rebuildable parts for $700.00
