Default 4x4 not disengaging.

Used 4x4 in the yard last night. Once on driveway I set it back to 2h and drove down the driveway and backed up to my spot. This morning I get out the drive and its humming like it's in 4x4. I did select and unselect while backing and forward. Still there. Hub actuator is my first guess. Any other possibilities?

Also don’t wait to get on pavement to take your truck out of 4 wheel. It binds the driveline. Better to move to 2 wheel on grass, gravel, etc so the tires can slide enough to release the energy from the driveline.

Good luck with the disengagement. Hope it works.

IWE vacuum solenoid are very common to fail. They are only around $30. Swap it out and test.

I messed with it last night and it freed up. Being stopped, engaging 4h and took to to 40mph and turning back to 2wd and it disengaged. I also read up on the actuator and the seleniod mentioned here looks to be very common issues and that I have to tools to replace them if necessary.
