Default 4x4 Decal vs 4x4 Off Road Decal

My 2013 Platinum has a 4x4 decal on the side of the bed. But I see other F150s with 4x4 OFF ROAD decals.

What's the difference? Are there actually different shocks, etc. on the "off road" version??

Yes there is a 4x4 off-road package. Basically all the off-road stuff the fx4 comes with. Skid plates, 3.73 or 3.55 elocker depending on year, and I think a few more things but I don't really remember. Not sure if either get different shocks still.

Some people think they have off road tuned shocks but from my comparisons, you get the same shock whether it be a regular 4x4 or a 4x4/fx4 off road package.

I bought the stickers and put them on my xlt. now I have a 4x4 offroad. I have the 3.55 elocker rear end. I think im missing a skid plate but that's it. I don't know about yall but I upgraded my truck by couple of hundred bucks with a ten dollar sticker. haha

I thought I read the OEM skid plates are pretty crappy anyway. You can always get a bull bar with it or custom plates from RCI.

The shocks suck. The shocks were gone @ 20k miles on my 2011 FX4 and the truck rode like it had no shocks.
