Removing the tailgate step becuase it broke. Twice.
Alright. I've searched. Googled. Even asked Siri. And it seems like no one has converted from the tailgate step to the one piece plastic trim. I've broken it twice and I can't seem to be able to justify replacing a stupid piece of 200$ plastic time and time again. I'll be at 400$ now if I have to buy it again. And that's 400$ I would of rather spent on go fast parts.
What happens is the track on my snowmachine catches the plastic piece during loading or unloading and rips it off. I don't use the step. In my opinion it's stupid. And frankly I will probably follow suit and remove the stripper pole too.
Can someone please share some direction before I dive in head first. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry but don't know how to replace it but wanted to reply that when I purchased truck couple months ago I really didn't think my step would be used like it has but I LOVE IT!!! I use it all the time. Come in handy for an older round guy to get in and out of the truck bed easier. Would never own another truck without one, just like rearview mirror changing.
You'll enjoy it more as you get older.
