How severe was your issue? I have always suspected my launch shudder was related to the torque convertor. Mine is different than the other shudders, in that it only slightly pulses about 3-4 times, in the first few feet of travel. It doesn't vary with load, and never does it beyond a few feet. My truck also takes a few seconds to move in drive, after it sits a few days. Some say that is normal, but no auto trans I have driven over many years, has ever needed time to engage, and simply slip, unless it was low on fluid.

Good to know. Now that I've moved I'll have to find a new service dept. and take that to them.
