My EB cruises at 65-70 with 9k lbs TT. Getting 8-9mpg.
The 6.2 v8 Super duty I had got about 6 pulling it, and was in a bigger bind doing it. Don't compare the EB to any diesel. Compare it to the v8s that have to run at 4000 rpm to get the power the EB does at 2500

That's the thing, most V8's can't touch the power the Boost puts down stock. No where near the torque at low rpms, because it has such a linear (diesel like) powerband.

Driving 70, levelled and heavier tires arent helping.
I know its tough on some guys' ego here but slow down and drive 55-60 if possible. (Im not saying 70 is too fast to tow, just in regards to mph). I've done both drive too fast and swallowed my ego and the difference is pretty substantial.

I don't plan to change my driving habits, it is what it is. I was hoping for better but I like the truck either way. No doubt this little engine is the next best thing to a big torquey diesel. In all honesty I'd probably bought another diesel if this didn't exist as I hate towing with an N/A V-8 screaming and downshifting all the time.
I put my Autospring AAL in tonight and even with the E rated Duratracs it still rides twice as good as my Duramax. I was just posting to inform, wasn't meant to be derogatory

No matter how nice you trailer is, I can't imagine towing at those speeds, that's awfully fast for 14 or 15 inch trailer wheels!

Most of the heavier trailers run 15". True trailer tires are not like 15" passenger car tires. If you are running 9,000 lbs, that's only 2,250 lbs per tire. Inflation pressure should be around 65 lbs. I've checked my tires after 250 miles at 70 mph and they are barely warm to the touch.
