4 lanes of open highway

Save it dude. I get and agree with your point but what family? NO ONE WAS ON THE ROAD, Which was interstate 8 at that so not even a risk of head ons. Hell it's a road regularly traveled at 90 by the traffic flows anyway normally. What difference is it. 105 is safer on a straight highway with no others cars on it than the speed limit is in traffic.

I must admit, my first post was a little hypocritical. I've owned a sport bike and had it well past highway speeds. I was younger and dumb. Now that I've been a Sheriff for a few years and have seen what happens to people when they mess up at speeds I'm perfectly happy with 60-70mph.

And I am sure you have saved many lives. Thank you for what you do. My point is simple however, <30 mph over limit for a very short burst all alone on a straightaway in BFE. Hell 103 isn't even over my tire speed rating. Than coasting back down to 85 on cruise control. Don't get me wrong I'm not some nut. I generally just roll with the flow of traffic. Speed isn't what kills. It's poor judgement that does. The autobahn is much safer than our interstate system is statistically.

Stretched the F150 Boost today. She saw 105mph.....Ohhh, that is exhilarating!!! Stable and smooth, bumping along with the BMW's, Porsche's,...Tundra at around 85.
Then as I regain composure.....I spot an unmarked F150 cop truck that had pulled a car over-yikes!
Last time I did that I had my 5 speed SHO and clocked over135+....and got nailed, at 80 though.

gt408r, You aren't going to get through to him because he has no intention of actually considering what you have to say.
