4" or 6" Zone lift
Hello, I have a 2011 3.5L Ecoboost FX4 F150. Im going to get my truck lifted in the next couple weeks and i really just want to run 35s. I was told by a guy at a truck accessories shop that i could not run 35s with just a 4in lift(i dont want to have to cut my truck so it wont rub), therefore i was gonna get a 6in lift. Is that true? And any recommendations on whether i should get a 4in or 6in lift. (Also have a 2"in leveling kit on the front to run 33s right now, idk if that will affect anything)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Lies....plenty of people on here are running 35's with just a 2"-2.5" level. You can easily run 35's on a 4" lift. Obviously, I am going to have to state that it would depend on your wheels offset and width. A 20x12 -44mm would be very different than a 20x9 -12mm.

4" lift with 35x12.50x18 on 9" wide, -12 offset wheels and 2wd which sits about 2" lower than a 4wd and the only trimming I had to do is a little slice of the plastic below the front bumper on each side.
On a 4wd a 4" lift will be more than enough, as mentioned if you go with negative offset wheel like I'm running that little bit of trimming isn't required but I didn't like the reminiscent sound of a playing card in the spokes when turning. Stock wheels are around +44 offset the closer you get to 0 the more they will stick out and might need some trimming.

it really all comes down to wheel size, width and offset. I have a 6inch zone with 35s on a 10.5 inch wide wheel with -12 offset and it fits and looks badass. if you had to trim i would think it would just be the plastic piece under the front bumper.
ps my zone 6" rides great

How high just comes down to what the size and offset the wheel has. I rub a tiny bit at full lock and hitting a bump with a 6" and 20x10-25 offset. But I like the big lip look. I say pick your wheel , then that will pick your lift for you. But in all honesty 6" is not that big on these trucks.
