Free Leveling kit for 09 and 10 FX4 and Raptor's????
Someone posted this on another forum. Has anyone heard of this or tried it?? My Ford dealer looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him.
A FREE F150 09-10 leveling kit! Really! here it is
Ford has designed the shocks for the Raptor, and the FX4 so that they can be leveled without spending $300, and its the preferred way to do it, Fox shocks worries about the angle of the front CV axel joints and feels there is a possibility that there may be some vibrations and or binding by using aftermarket "leveling kits" so here is how to level your truck for "0" dollars folks,
Jack up the front of yur new truck and set the stands under the frame so that the front axel will droop, remove the wheels. Now take a spring compressing tool, (you borrow one at your local parts store for a small deposit and or your drivers license)[b]BE VERY CAREFUL AND USE THE TOOL TO COMPRESS YOUR SPRINGS ONE
AT A TIME,once you have that done and secured for safety, then take a dead blow or brass hammer and knock the bottom spring seat up the shock until you you see the "retainer" ring, continue up the shock with the seat until you see the second grove. Now, take a screwdriver or something like that and pry out the retainer ring from its grove, and move it up to the top grove (aprox 2 inches) and snap it back into the new grove, drive the spring seat down as far as it goes, release the spring compressor, put the tire back on and go do the other side, You now have a factory leveled truck that wont take the CV joints out of whack congratulations your done

I dont see how it would not make the CV joints out of wack as your still adding 2inches of height to the front of the truck......... so the angles would be forced higher. Nice for the concept but I highly dought its any better for your CV joints than a straight lvl kit.
