Thanks for the review. I've been contemplating a 4.30 swap myself. Most of my driving is city, so I'm not concerned with losing 1-2MPG on the highway.

That would have be a really small crowd. Tremor is already a 1 year only vehicle and the few who have one get it for stock or lowered straight line speed. Already comes with 4.10 gears but I’ve seen many say it’s not as quick as one would think.
Tremor's are 3-4 years old. I understand it's a small crowd but they could be ordered with 4wd. Personally I would lift a 4wd one but I can see where 2wd owners would lower.

The 4.10's were a great combo with the 34.4" tires I had on my Tremor. It was pretty quick even with the 77 lb. each mud tires.

This is of interest to me. I have 3.31's, hate the lugging engine. (5.0)
1. Does regearing require a tune?
2. How does it effect power train warranty? (Obviously effects rear end warranty)

Ouch, local shop wants $1000 bucks.

My speedo was way off after the gear install until I updated my tune. I would imagine unless you had done at dealer it would void warranty. Just a hunch. I can tell you it really eliminates that lugging feeling you speak of!

I meant it was offered for 1 year, hence the small pool of owners.

$1000 per axle is typical. Yes you want a tune because you might as well maximize performance from your investments as gears, tune or forced induction are the only ways to get anything significant.

Warranty wise, your dealer would never know you installed aftermarket gears unless something broke requiring them to take it apart. Even then, I am not sure if a technician would immediately notice unless he was looking for it. They almost never do regears, which is also why you wouldn't want them to.

If it helps cost I bought my gears from Tasca they are ford and I think they were around $230 and came with bearings.
