Mentioned this before but I used this stuff as a precaution. I didn't have leaks on my 3/10 build 2010 but its used on spoilers and similar:

Not trying to hijack but this is kind of related and I know there are several other threads about this so I didn't want to start another one. I am probably going to use the RTV as a preventative measure before my 3rd brake light starts leaking. Worked like a charm when I did it on my Ranger. But for the satellite antenna, because I know that has a tendency to leak, can some one post some pictures on how to remove the antenna to seal it up as well? Or is it just a couple screws and it pops off? I haven't actually been up there investigate, but I am probably going to tackle that this weekend. Thanks for the help!

Remove passenger A piller trim piece. Pull down headliner and satellite screws will be accessible.

Thanks sounds easy enough. I'll check it out this weekend.

I have had my headliner replaced once. It was so soaked with rain water, it was moldy!! Ford "fixed" it 4 times now and I just discovered it leaking again!! I am 2 months over the lemon law (if I read it correctly) I have a 2009 F150 King Ranch with giant water stains on the leather back seat, rust on all the brackets that bolt the seats to the floor, 1 moldy headliner, replaced, 2nd headliner is now stained again!!! Ford refused to look at it again, I contacted the Ford Motor Company in Michigan, filed a complaint, got a case number, had it "fixed" again.... and it's still leaking!!! They will not replace my damaged leather seats or the rust! Now it's not worth half of what I paid for it!!! Waiting to hear back from Michigan, to decide what to do next!! Thinking, trade in for Toyota Tundra, if I can afford it!!

I wish I'd seen this thread earlier. I have all my audio electronics behind the back seat. Yesterday night I got in the truck (It had been raining all day) and turned the radio on to only hear hissing and popping. This morning I opened the back door to take a look and water literally ran out of the door on my shoe. I could see the cloth seat was soaked. Pulled the set-back forward and everthing was wet, including one of my amps and crossover. The headliner on the drivers side corner driped water when I pushed on it. Now I'm steaming mad. Drove right over to the dealership to only hear from the service manager that this was the first time he's heard of this issue. He called his body shop guy in and he had to admit there is a problem. They replaced the gasket right away, but my sound system is fried! He suggested I call Ford customer service. HA! Wonder what they'll say?
Seems to me this is a big enough issue for a recall.

Default Third Brake Light Leakage

I owned a 2004 and now own an 2008 F150. They both had the same issue! Thanks for the advice because buying a new light from the dealership will costs me $102. Definately go the cheaper route. The light still works fine! Hopefully Ford will fix this issue ASAP!!

Just Found the Leak on mine yesterday. 2 Days of hard rain, I looked in the back above my rear window , both pillars soaking wet. Took it to the Ford Dealership "no longer under warranty". 2.5 year old truck and they would possibly loose a customer over a $12 replacement part. I like Ford but their customer relations are terrible. There would be a lot less Toyotas on the road if Ford would just admit when their wrong. By the way, one other thing to watch out for is the rear emblem falling off (another $5 dollar fix they wont do).
