3rd Brake Light Leak?
Anyone else have water build up in their Centre High Mount Stop Light?
I know that there is a TSB for it (for 2013 models at least), and my new to me 2013 FX4 is going into the shop next week to have the interior gutted and replaced.
Anyone gone through this? Did the leak stop after the TSB was complete?

My 2013 is also new to me, and I am having the brake light leak as well. Nothing has made its way to the interior, but the light is full of green crud, and soap when I wash it. Going to the dealer next week to have it looked at.

We've got the green crud too. We were at the dealership today getting our tonneau fixed (they forgot to instal the drain tubes near the cab...) and that's when it was noticed. We go back on Friday as that is when they have their 2015 Explorer loaner available for me. They didn't look inside the truck to see if it's wet at all, and to tell the truth, I haven't felt the headliner to see either. Guess I should.

Are you sure it's inside the lens?
There is a good gap around the edge that collects water. It collects soap when washed but drains away.
The green is mildew.

This is not something that happens to just Fords it spans many years Ford and GM trucks, best fix is make your own better gasket, silicone, if you wanna roll the dice get the dealer to fix it.

I had an 04 fx4 and the third brake light leaked, now I have a 2010 stx and I just fixed the leaky third brake light. Saw it was leaking and now the headliner is stained all the way across the back window. I went to Home Depot and bought 3/4" weather stripping for like $5 for like 12ft of it and I resealed it and it hasn't leaked since. Quick and easy fix as long as it holds up. Pretty ridiculous that vehicles that cost this much have such stupid little problems like that, thank god I don't have sat cause I've read a lot of people's complaints on that leaking.
