Just talked to 4wheelparts here in San Antonio. For the G2 front and rear 4.56 gears, front and rear install kit, labor, taxes, and warranty, it would be $2,335.34. Parts were about $900, labor about $900, 3 year/36,000 warranty on gears and labor was $300....can't decide if the warranty is worth it. $2,335 seems a little high to me for all that....what do you guys think...

Call Planet Pickup at (210) 525-8789 to see what they would charge. They are on the north side of 410 by Vance Jackson. They do a lot of fabrication work for my company and a lot of people in my old jeep club used them.

Apparently these won't work on 2011.5 and up 9.75" rear ends. I called G2 and spoke with Luke who stated they don't make any for the 2011.5 and up. He said half of the 2011s used the old axle and half used the new axle....which is why you were able to have them installed. I quoted the part numbers you listed and he said, "yup those are the old ones(what we refer to as 2010 and older) and won't work on your 2012."

Well so much for that idea. I was almost excited at first. Oh well.

I've heard they do good work. If anyone ever decides to make gears for 2011.5 and up I'll be sure and keep them in mind.

Ahhhhhhhh, Interesting. Guess im lucky to have that old rear end. I bought mine in Nov of 11 so id assume it was the 2011.5+, weird. Well sorry man. I was in the same place as you until that one shop said it would work.

All i know is that the 4.56's are the best thing ive done to the truck so far. Tows awesome and has all around great power. Waiting for my tunes to show up right now.

They seem to be a good shop. Besides the fact they initially wanted to charge me 650$ per axle plus a 250$ IFS fee. I said that was bull**** and talked them down to 500$/axle.

Then they accidentally installed extra shocks (rear 5100's, only had them do the fronts) i didnt pay for on the rear so when i went to pick up the truck, they had to pull it back in the shop and swap the stocks back in. Seemed kinda unorganized. They do a LOT of jeeps, not a lot of trucks.

Dropped the truck off on wednesday and picked it up friday.

Man, I would say you'd be better off putting that $2300 towards a supercharger!

I was quoted $500 rear/$850 front at a differential shop here in San Antonio cause of IFS.

I have 35 with 3.55 gears and the 5.4 . my 2010 runs great, I did use the SCT tuner and reset the revolutions per mile so the speedo reads right and transmission shifts correct. Actually my truck runs better! Forget the gears, it is a truck. If you want fast buy a corvette!!
