Default 35 inch tires on 20 inch rims

What's going on guys? I have a 2013 f150 with a 2.5 in leveling kit. I need new tires soon and I want to get something bigger than the stock wheels. My question is with the truck leveled out will 35s fit on the stock 20 in rims? If not, what size would you recommend?

Yup. 35's will fit stock rims. You will just have to worry about rubbing the UCA or plastic.

That's what I was worried about. I guess I should have said that earlier. Will the 35s rub? Will I need to lift it? What size will fit without lifting again?

It depends...

Some people have gotten away with running true 35's and only a 2" or 2.5" level kit. Others have had to trim plastic. Personally, I am running 295/60R20 Nitto Trail Grapplers (34.4" tall tire) on stock rims and a 2" level kit. I only rub on the UCA at full lock.

Unless you want to stay conservative, I would recommend trying to find a good tire shop that will work with you. The tire shop I dealt with was willing to test fit the front two tires without obligation to buy them beforehand so I could make sure that they fit. There are too many differing stories on this forum and others about what fits and what doesn't.

35s will work with a 2-2.5, but be prepared to do some triming.. keep in mind 2-2.5 level kits behave differently on our trucks

Im running a 285-60-20 Duratrac on a 20x9 +13 offset. If I had to do it again Id go with a 0 or -12 offset. Mainly cause I have the fender flares. W/O flares the +13 is perfect!

I have a 2" front level and do not rub. Will be doing a larger tire size in the near future...but WOW all the 35x12.5s are just SO HEAVY!!!!
Leaning more towards the 295-60-20 Toyo AT 2 XT

Would that size work without the leveling kit? I want to put more rubber between the road and my rim. 275 is wide enough for me but I don't like the 55 that came with the truck.
