Default 30k mile major maintenance schedule

Just got a letter from the dealership saying I have my 30k major maintenance schedule coming up and I must do it before 30k miles and Oct 31st for warranty purposes. My 3 years will run out before I hit 36k.

BUT, I only have 26,700 miles. I think I can get by right now with a basic oil change and then get the major maintenance done just before 30k for the next oil change.

That said, can they void my last few warranty months if I don't get this done by Oct. 31st? Is there any time sensitive issue with the 30k major maintenance schedule? Or is it flat out 30k miles being the only factor?

Ford sent you that note based on the estimated time you've owned your truck and the average miles the average owner puts on their vehicles. They don't know how many miles you have on your truck......wait until you have the needed miles on your truck to do this service.......no worries on your warranty.....

That's what I assumed except for the little Oct 31 due date addition they put on there under the mileage requirement. THat made no sense to me. Probably just a marketing scam to get me to do it right away. THanks.

3yr/36k warranty. Whichever first. No special 30k service. New air filter and an oil change, that's it. They are looking for your cash.

Yeah - there isn't much more than that under the actual 30k schedule. The manual says the cabin air filter and engine air filter.

Typical, they are just trying to scare you into spending money on stuff you don't need...

Really? The manual says cabin air filter? These trucks don't have those.
