F150-4Life

I currently have a 2011 3.7L and am wanting to put an exhaust system on it. I have called local muffler shops and they can put on either a flow master 40/44 series or a magnaflow 14'' exhaust. Has anyone used either one of these on their 3.7 and does it sound good, worried about popping or backfiring occuring since its a 6 cylinder engine. If you have used it before does it sound the same as your last application on a v8 engine, obviously not as loud but still the classic flowmaster/magnaflow sound? I have also heard of people putting roush intakes on their 3.7L but am wondering how that sounds compared to an actual exhaust system like a flowmaster/ magnaflow.
