It isn't a state thing. It varies by shop.

Obviously.....

$1,700 to $2,000 for front and rear gear swap is about the going rate. I would like to swap my 3.55 for 4.11 and replace my factory LSD with a Trutrac

I did exactly this and love it. One of the best things I've done to my truck.

5.0 V8? EB?
To a stock truck or to a truck that has a few extra hundred pounds added on it due to big tires/lift?

If done to a stock 5.0 V8 or even EB,impressions?

the man I talked to at 4 Wheel Parts said he installed 4.56s on his 2014 5.0L even though he's only on 33's because the 5.0L really likes to rev, and he said there was a very substantial increase in acceleration.

Thanks for that (I'm using this new Garage Talk app, doesn't show signature),another reason I prefer the other older app,the lay out etc,but apparently some post won't go through on the other app.

As for the acceleration increase on your source,I believe it.Im sure more guys would do this type mode to their stock trucks simply for added performance/more "lively" drivability but based on cost,it's a difficult financial equation.

Yeah i bet 4.56 on a stock 5.0 increases acceleration substantially. But that would drop highway mileage too much for me. I'd only go 4.56 if I move up to 35s but I doubt that will happen, I'm happy with my setup.

If you already have 3.73's, going to a 4.10 won't be a substanional increase. If you live in a moiuntainous area and/or tow with a 35" tire or bigger I'd go with a 4.56. I went from 3.55's to 4.10s. It's a major difference , but with towing a 4.56 in my area would've been better. Price wise you'll be looking around $800 +/- just in gears, install kits, and oil. Depending on your shop rates, add $750-1500 labor. All in all I hade around $1500 in my gear swap.
