Default New 2012 F 150 stx

So I am deployed overseas and I bought a new f 150 black stx 4x4 recently. I bought the vehicle in the exchange military program and I can just pick it up when I get home. I got a great deal as well as an even better warranty than what most people get. I just had a question about the vehicle for anyone that may know. The vehicle I got has the standard 17 " machined aluminum wheels. Does anyone know where I can find a picture of these? I've been looking at pictures of this trim and they seem to come in two different wheel styles but I can't put my finger on which one my truck will have.

Also one more question, does anyone use a third party satellite radi hookup through the vehicle's audio input? If so,how does it work for you and what would be a good choice?

Thanks for all the help in advance guys!

Check www.machaik.com. Click on "our dealerships", they have a hugh selection of XLT's, and should have one with the 17 inch wheels pictured.

Thank you for your service, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks a lot for the help on the wheels! Does anyone have any suggestions for running satellite radio through the system? If the aux input quality sucks should I just get a custom in dash unit put in it? Any good ones or suggestions!? And thanks for the congrats and support!!!

unfortunately, no I do not have any suggestions. I have the factory sirius. but every thing I have attempted to plug into the aux jack sounds like total dog poop.
there are plenty of people who have changed the stereo's out in 09+ trucks so I am sure you can find some suggestions on here.

Yea, I can deal with the stock radio for a while but eventually I would like to put in a new in dash system with navigation and satellite radio. Anyone here do this and know what the cost on average would be for a decent receiver

you can swap the deck & get nav & such. there's a series from pioneer that supports sync as well but you'll be looking at $500-800 avg for what you want, from pretty much any brand.

I think there are kits you can get (3rd party) that will add it to your truck for much less. wont have nav it's just the parts you need. my truck has the button & it's disabled because the tuner isn't there for it.

Before you pull the radio for something different, try Pandora through the accessory connection with a cell phone. If your expecting a premier audio connection it won't make you happy but if your like me that is just happy to have music playing on the radio you like it might just work at keeping that extra money in your pocket.

Either way, good luck with your new truck. I hope you're coming home soon to pick it up. It's time for our guys to spend some time with their families.
