A stock 3.5, 5.0 and 6.2 are remarkably close to each other in a straight line considering how very different they are.

It should be in a whole different league if you spend $6k-$7k to add forced induction. I've never seen what an Ecoboost will do with $6k-$7k in performance mods so it's hard to compare apples to apples.

Yep the reason for not offering max tow with 5.0 is no one would waste the money on an eco. Ford is getting the picture too now foe 2015 the eco tows only about 1k more than 5.0 and the 5.0 does not need max tow to get there.
Now all kidding aside they are both great engines and the other makers would kill for them both.

Except that I don't feel like I settled at all when I got the 5.0. But I may have felt that way if I had gotten the 3.7.

Why do ecoboost owners constantly have to justify their purchases to the world? did the 4.6 guys always have to battle over the 5.4 guys? I dont give two craps on your decisions to buy the ecoboost over the 5.0. If you tow a enormous travel trailer with an f150 youre doing it wrong anyways. Many owners have many different reasons for buying what they did. Does my 5.0 tow my mastercraft well? yes. would an eco tow it too? yeah. for whatever reason you chose whatever motor or trim level, good for you. hope your happy, just stop being a massive egotistical douche about it.

If I had a nice wakeboarding boat, I'd tow it with all the ballast full, just to play with my AWESOME ecoboost!!! Aaaahhhhhh yyyeeaahhhh!!!!
