Default 2wd vs. 4wd ride height?

I've searched and couldn't find a definitive answer. Where is the ride height increased on a 4wd over a 2wd? I know there are blocks in the rear but I am asking about the front. Is it the spring height, spring rate, or the spring mount on the strut.

Question two: Are the aforementioned parts interchangeable between a 2wd and 4wd? Specifically XLT trim if that makes a difference.

I want the height and look of a level 4wd on my 2wd but I don't really want to spend the extra $1000 if I don't have to.

I think it's about an inch and a half. So.... Since when do leveling kits cost a grand? Mine was 175 bucks with an alignment

Just get a front leveling kit and blocks for the rear.

I looked at stage 3's site and found the front coil over assembly does indeed provide a slight lift

I have a 2wd 2014 screw. My boss has a 2010 4x4 screw. even the same color. If i park next to him at work my front end sits just barely maybe an inch below his. He also has the lariat 20 inch wheels. Not sure if that makes a difference however the rear of the truck seems to be almost identical to his. blocks in the rear and a leveling kit was my thought. Wont break the bank either.

I already have a leveling kit. I want the height of a leveled 4wd which would be 1.5 - 2" higher. That would mean I would either need a 4" lift ($1000) or if I could find where the additional height is on the 4wd and use oem parts for the look I want.

I believe you can add stock 4x4 strut assemblys. That should lift it up to factory 4x4 level. I'm not 100% sure if it work though. I will have a set off of my '13 FX4 with 11,000 miles available soon.

I had a 2012 FX2 and wanted the same look.
Ordered the 2" auto spring front level and found a member here willing to sell me their OE rear blocks off of their 4X4.

It still had a slight rake and wished I had gone with the 2.5 front instead...

I also changed the tires to the 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers.
