Default 2WD with Level and 5100's

I know this is not recommended on 4wd due to the increased angle of control arms and CV shafts but what about a 2wd? I have a 2.5" level but with my new wheels and tires I need about an inch more lift. Could I do this with 5100's since 2wd's are about an inch lower than 4wd from the factory? Will it kill my ride quality and longevity of parts?

Yes it will kill your ride quality and longevity of parts the most you can possibly get would be 3 inches and you will need to get a set of aftermarket uniball control arms
