I had some Toyo MT's on my '04 Lariat that were great tires. Not bad on the highway as far as noise goes and they handled pretty good in the rain. Bad things were the weight (73 lbs) and the price almost $1300 OTD and this was over 5 yrs ago. I had some 295x70x17's and they were on the truck when I sold it. I put 23K miles on them in a year and they weren't even half worn. If I needed or wanted MT's I'd buy them again.

From my experience (owned Toyo's.. multiple sets, and riding in my buddies truck with Exo's)

Right off the rack, Toyos are louder. But, the grip is unmatched imo, to any other MT out there. The Exo has a smooth ride, and will wear better (more consistently throughout the tire, from what I have seen)

I don't see any cons in either. The Toyo is alot more aggressive looking, in my eyes. Just depends on what look you are going for. Exo has more shallow grooving, as far as looks go as well.

My next set of tires, once these stocks wear down some, will be Toyo's but like I said, I have owned 4-5 sets, so I am partial.

Thanks guys. Every time I go to price tires and see what I want to do I see something new/different. So much out there.

These two are the only ones I found in that size, that will fit a stock wheel. I fell the 275/70s are gonna be too small and the 295/70s are too big.

Both about 1500 OTD if I researched right. Just trying to way my options and see what people like about each and maybe some pics as well. I don't do a lot of mudding but I love the look of the MTs. The EXOs would be more practical. The age old argument lol.

The Nitto Trail Grappler is a good tire also. Almost the same as the Toyo MT.

Just remember the heavy MT's will put a big dent in performance and fuel mileage. I had the 5.4 3V with 3.73's and a Edge programmer and the best I did on the hwy was 16.5 mpg but they sure did look good!
