Default 285/70/18 Fitment on 2” Bilstein

Hello -
Have a 2014 3.5eb 4x4 Screw with 18”x9” +18 wheels.

I will be installing the Bilstein leveling front struts on either the 1.75” or 2.10” setting.

I’m stuck between 285/70/18 or 275/70/18 size. I am leaning towards the larger size tire, but do not want any rubbing or trimming required.
The 295 is wider than I prefer with 3 months of winter driving.

Will the larger tire substantially hurt the EB performance?

Thanks for the help!

The 275/70R18 would fit stock, no problem and you really may not see any MPG loss as you're realistically not adding much more rolling resistance. You may not even need to recalibrate the speedometer (although I recommend doing so regardless) And I think the 285/70R18 would fit stock as well, but you may get rub and it may take away an MPG or 2 (potentially) but that's nothing a custom tune can't help you with Im in the same situation with the same sizes to choose from. The 275/70 is only an inch taller than the 275/65 that is on my truck now, so I'm more inclined to go with a 285/70.

285/70/18 is 33.7x11.2" and 295/70/18 is 34.3"x11.7". Of course it varies a tad between manufacturers, and you're gonna have some trimming to do with even the 285.
I think you'll still prolly get some rubbing when cornering over a bump or backing up, and I wouldn't attempt the 295 with just a level
I have the 295's on my truck with a 4.5" lift, and with this size lift it's proportional.

There are a couple folks on here running 295/70/18 ridge grapplers on Bilstein level. Yes there is probably some trimming involved for most of not all of them. But it can definitely be done on the level.

I will be going with 285/70/18 RGs soon myself. Only reason I’m not doing the 295s is because they are 10lbs heavier per tire.

I ran 295/70/18 st maxx on a 1.5" level and 7/8" wheels spacers. Slightly rubbed my mud flaps, changed tires after 70k and never bother fixing the slight rub. I now have 275/70/18 and they look tiny most of the time. I do a decent amount of snow driving and the 295s never failed me
