Default 285/65R18 or 275/70R18, Can you tell the difference?

I'm getting close to needing new tires but can't decide on what size to go with. I currently have 275/70R18 BFG Rugged Terrains with a 2" HBS level but I feel like they look small, however I have gotten 55,000 miles out of them. I'm considering staying with the 275's and going with the BFG KO2's. I want to try the Toyo RT's but the closest I can to a 275 is a 285/65R18. Would I really be able to tell a difference in the size, by looking at them?

I've also considered 295/70R18's in the Toyo A/T2, but can anyone tell me how much they will set my speedometer off? With the 275's when my speedometer says 75, my gps says I'm doing 77 mph. I don't have a tuner yet. Here's my truck now.

I've been going through the same debate for awhile now except with AT3s. The 275/70 at3s are 33" tall and 11.11" wide and the 285/65 are like 32.56" tall and 11.6" wide. I think I finally decided you probably can't tell a huge difference and the 275/70 are $250 cheaper for the set!

General Grabber at2 was the tallest (33.4" I believe) all terrain 275/70 I found, even taller than some of the mt's out there. That's what I used with my 2" AS. Have had these on two other trucks in the past and really like them. Really like the price too!

guy at work has 285-65-18 on stock 18 chromers....with a 2" tuff contry level i can tell from close and far that the tires are smaller as the gap from top to tire to bottom on wheel well is bigger vs what i've seen on the net of 2" levels with 275/70's....i perseonally say go 275/285/295- 70 -18 vs 285/65

Thanks, I'd like to go with the 295/70R18's but you don't get a lot of options.

I have 275/70/18 w/1.5" lift. I like the look but they do look skinny compared to the 285's.

I posted some sizes but realized you're running an 18" rim. The sizes i have are for 20's

Just go with a 295/65/18. Same height as the 275/70/18, but almost an inch wider.

I have 285/65 toyo at2 extreme and I love how they look. The 275/70 is too narrow. Here's a picture for reference
