Default 285/65-18 wheels on a FX4 w/ leveling kit?

Anyone know if I got 285/65-18 Terra grapplers on some 18x9 fuel Hostages with a 20mm or 14mm offset with my Rancho quick lift loaded leveling kit if it would look too small? Wanting to put some bigger wheels and tires on my truck but don't want them too big to where the affect the performance of the truck greatly. Any opinions or pics?

i believe it will look great. i am going with the 295/70-18 with same wheels. i think i am going with the 14mm offset to pull tires out some on my 2011 FX4 supercrew.

just dont want the tires to look too small when the truck is leveled. I have googled a TON and have found very few 4wd F150's leveled with 285/65/18's. Think I am just going to intall my Rancho kit then decide from there.

I had the same concerns...invest in tires, only to have them come out too small for the wheel well, or not what you envisioned.

I went with 285/75/18 (Toyo) and never looked back.

They fit great in all aspects, fill up the wheel well and I have not discernable loss of power/acceleration. Just heavier and some impact on MPG; but look great. My truck has 2" level.

How much impact on your MPG. I am thinking about same size tires you went with. 2011 eco screw.

I got 285/65/18 in the trail grapplers, I think they look perfect on the fx2. You got an FX4 I know they sit a little higher. Mine are 18x9 pos20mm offset. I did not notice any significant power loss, I can feel it a little heavier and my mpg did go down a bit. The dealer calibrated the computer the closest they can, it's still of by one or two mph on the highway. I had everything done at the dealer. I'm planing to put the injen CAI to get some of my performance back.

I would say about 2 to 3 on the fwy. I noticed it immediately, but I like the look.

I wanted the Terra Grapplers but there are only available in Load E in that size but found some Falken Wild Peak A/T's at discount and they look great and in a D load range. Shoudl be a little lighter and ride smoother than the E's.
