275/60r20 or LT275/65r20?

Well I've finally decided that I've had enough of the crappy pirellis and have decided that I'm going to treat myself to some new tires :)

I'm leaning towards some Nitto Terra Grappers on the factory 20"s (but could be persuaded otherwise)

So the question is 33" (P275/60r20) or 34" (LT275/65r20)?

Current look:

My truck is identical to yours, so please post pics when you choose one, I'm interested as well.

I was thinking about Cooper LTZ Zeon's 305/55/20 with a 2" front level & 3" replacement rear block.

Call me crazy but I think these are the nicest rims for the f-150. I still have the scorpions on mine but my custom rims have the nitto terra grapplers and I love them. They're not the best in winter but neither are the scorpions. They are a little pricey tho. Not sure about the coopers.

Sweet truck, just like what I'm wanting I think (I do want the ecoboost though). Do you have the luxury package? Can't wait to see pics of the new tires. Can you run 33's or 34's on stock 20" rims with no rubbing?

Is the LT275/65r20 the largest size 20" tire that can be placed on the factory rims and not rub (no lift of level kit)?

There are a few people running around out there with 285/65r20 (34.6") https://www.f150forum.com/f38/new-ti...u-think-57241/ and they don't seem to rub so I figure I should be alright one size smaller but I'm not sure I want the rougher LT ride to get that extra inch

Nah you're not crazy, I'd have to agree. What size terra grapplers do you have? How does the noise compare to the pirelli's?

Logan24 01-24-2011 11:13 PM

the are 275/60r20 same size as stock. as for the noise they are barely noticeable. I had my truck undercoated so its quite in the cab. With the windows down its not loud at all tho. I think the only reason why there a little louder than the scorpions is they are 1.5 inches wider.

Stock is 275 55 20 and 275 60 20 should not be wider other than just a little bit taller..

get some bfg A/Ts, they look sick on 20" wheels..
