Cabin filled with smoke half a mile from home!
Something smells funny, who's burning something weird in 95deg heat??
I was already in my neighbourhood just a few blocks from home when i noticed the smell, figured it was coming from the outside, but when i turned a corner, the sunlight hit the smoke over the passenger seat and i about crapped my pants
Alright so the "back story" - truck was sat outside parked for a couple of hours, 95deg, remote started fine (no AC as i have it set to 'last' and forgot to turn on the AC before i stopped the engine)
Fired up the AC, drove half a block and fired up the cooled seat on max. Drove home, less than 3 miles (25's and 35's) and only in the last half mile, did something start smelling a little 'off' - not quite burning plastic, not quite burning circuit boards, and not really acrid either like both of those would usually smell like if they're melting/burning.
When the sun shone through the passenger side and i saw it was smoky, my best bet was the source was on the passenger side and maybe it's the heated/cooled seat controls that are under there, so i turned off the cooled seat, leaving the AC on, and opened the rear slider to let the smoke out.
It mostly seemed to clear, but not completely as i didn't have much driving left to do and i was in a bit of a panic as to whether i pull over and whip out the fore extinguisher or if i keep going and check it out at home. As it didn't seem to get any worse and maybe a little better, i pushed on for the final, hardest leg of this gruelling journey.
So nothing caught fire than i can find, house didn't burn down after i reversed it into the garage too close to the wall and struggled to get out of the truck....
Had a look under the passenger seat, nothing charred, nothing melted looking, pulled the main plug for the heat/cool controls and confirmed it all still looked good, still with the dielectric grease i put in there last year.
Nothing interfering with the TED on either seat that i could see - only performed a cursory look under the driver's seat, but at this point i honestly have no real proof it was coming from the passenger side, that's just because i was looking that way when i was able to see smoke in the air, maybe it was coming from the main HVAC system somehow?
I don't believe there was any smoke externally to the vehicle, certainly none i could see.
So i'm stuck, and more than a little concerned to drive it again without doing some more inspection work.
Any ideas?

Checked the engine bay this morning, rad fans etc, nothing seems amiss.

Do you have any audio equipment installed? (amps, speakers, sub, etc)

Did you check the fuse box on the right side with the BCM behind the kick panel yet and look for any amiss?

I've experienced this a couple times in different vehicles I've owned. And the first time I experienced it I thought there was something burning also when I seen what looks like smoke. And it's only happened in hot humid weather. Below is an explanation I found. Which could be the same thing you experienced.
