The 2015 Mustang Just Revealed

Yeah, there definitely IS going to be an ecoboost (4cyl) mustang in 2015, and like mentioned, it will be to cater to people across the pond. This will be the fist mustang sold and marketed in the UK, and they love them some 4 cylinders.
They're still offering the NA 3.7 from what I understand, which... seems a little silly to me, but I'm no bean counter. I don't think they'll do a turbo V6. I think there will be the NA 5.0 and whatever is above that (MACH is supposed to return I heard) will probably have a FI (forced induction) V8. Maybe the 5.0, maybe a 5.4, maybe supercharged, maybe turbo. I've heard they're trying to phase out the Trinity motor in the current GT500 because its so expensive to produce.

True - and it's not as low as the Mustang = with snow tires the wife can drive it in the snow in the winter whereas the Mustang is useless in the snow. That's from personal experience only via test drives we did in Calgary in Dec 2010 with a lot of snow on the ground. One of the dealers we were at couldn't get the Mustang out of the parking spot it was in - too much snow and the wheels just spun...What we also liked about the Challenger was the space - our son (now 15) can actually sit in the back seat and my wife is a teacher and takes a lot of stuff back and forth to work - the trunk was too small in both the Mustang and Camaro. Glad to see Ford did hear people's complaint about that and made the trunk and passenger area more roomy.

That is because they are taxed every year on their vehicle's engine size and/or emmisions. You would pay out the nose for anything much bigger than a 3.0L.

Meaner than ymeski56
The reason for the 3.7 is because the EB is more expensive and they felt they needed a cheaper engine for the base model. Still no slouch for a base motor though.

I rented a GT350H in 1966, so I am very partial to the retro Mustangs. This new design is definitely targeting a younger demographic group. I look forward to the hi-po GT 350 and GT 500 that will come from Ford and not Shelby American. The pony muscle car race is still going strong with the new Z28 coming back, and a supercharged Challenger in the works!

I would be hard pressed not to bitch slap someone if their major complaint on buying a sports car was trunk space and rear passenger room.

Isn't that what it looked like for the last 10 years?? '05-14?
I am not trying to be facetious, but the current 3.7 has 305 hp and gets 31 mpg.
Eventually, everyone knew that they were going to evolve and go into a more modern direction after the retro '05+ models. I think it's a step in the right direction. I really like the front and side profiles of the car. The rear, not so much. It is way too slanted I think. The interior definitely says Mustang. Aside from the natural Fusion comparisons because of the headlights and grille openings, I actually think the new Mustang has some Audi-esque shapes. Not bad IMO.
It's also rumored that there is going to be a mid-model-year refresh, and the 5.0 is going to get a bump up to 500 hp! That coupled with the fact that the new car is supposed to be lighter than the outgoing model, not a bad deal for $40k!

We wanted something fun to drive yet have some practical conveniences.
We weren't looking for a "sports" car.
Why did you do so many mods to your truck?
