Well I'm glad that the truck that I just got a month ago won't be dated for a few more months.

What happened to the FORD ads about fully boxed frames? Why is it no longer any good. [/QUOTE]

That's kinda like in 04 when ford came out with the great idea of putting the shocks on the outside of the frame... Chevy did that in what the 70's? Just because the frames won't be boxed doesn't mean they won't be a taller c channel making up the difference in strength, just as long as they don't go cutting a bunch of holes in the frame to make it lighter like they did in 80 & 81! Those things came off the line with bent frames.

Wonder who the aluminum supplier is? Easton, Alcoa or China! Good grief, the EPA has WAY TOO MUCH power.

This thread for the most part is nothing short of comical with some of the posts. Wow...

The article itself said Alcoa and other Tier 2 suppliers IIRC.

IMO the truck i drive is low quality and cheaply made i see a lot of imperfection nothing major but little stuff. Like the driver and passenger door wobble when you close them. The cheap plasticky interior that look like it assembled at the same place that your kid cheap Walmart toy was assembled at. The crapy tap around the fog light wire and everywhere in the engine bay. Etc. And now what? They are making them even cheaper. Good grief

I love how the interior that a few years ago was the best out there is now horrible

As far as the wiring, have you seen GM vehicles and their crappy electrical? I'll take some extra tape then deal with that.
