Blackstone Lab report for Ecoboost
Does any ecoboost owners do oil samples or is a mechanical engineer. I have a slight suspicion that my engine is nothing but crap. I've had a few reports come back that weren't horrible but my buddy owns a 13 screw cab but a 5.0 engine and he's had nothing but excellent reports. Not sure if these results are typical of a ecoboost or ford screwed up yet again... Any one else have similar results?

I would say you're fine. Ecoboost is known for a bit of fuel dilution so that would explain the slightly lowered viscosity. Run a good oil and filter and you should be good to go.

I think you're worrying entirely too much about this. It's not a Ferrari.

Is ford oil not good? I have also been running 93 octane the last two oil changes. Befor I was running the low octane but only from Sunoco or shell and didn't get results I'm seeing with 93 octane.

Do your do lots of short trips? That reputedly contributes to the dilution. This is also why I'm not doing more that 5-6 thousand mile intervals. I haven't done the oil analyses yet and with all the reports of dilution I'm being cautious.
Nothing to be concerned about. IMO of course.

Looks just like my blackstone reports. I am getting one each oil change because I am also worried about the fuel in the oil.

No. Probably not the oil. Likely normal break in except the viscosity breakdown. That is likely due to fuel mixing with oil. It isn't good but it is common on direct injection engines. It is speculated that the dilution is why the ecoboost recommend 5w30 over 5w20 so it doesn't thin too much. Do your do lots of short trips? That reputedly contributes to the dilution. Fuel dilution isn't anything unusual for a turbocharged engine or a direct injection engine. I just shorten the OCI's from what the factory recommends. It may not even be necessary but it gives me peace of mind and doesn't cost much more $$.
