Default 2014 XL RWD noise

Hello everyone! New to the site. I was looking for any insight into some noise in my truck.

2014 F150 XL 2D RWD 3.7 V6

I'm hearing almost a rubbing but not quite grinding noise from what appears to be the right side. Just did the brake pads. Took to shop and got new wheels. They said there was cupping. Changing rear shocks tomorrow. They also said bearings looked fine.

I'm know mechanic but im trying to do my research. Looked under, and heat shield is in place. Happens only during accelaration, and also a little mechanical whine when let off gas. I'm kind of at a lost. I assume its not just the noise of the truck. Don't wanna go to the dealer if I don't have to. This is my first truck. Thank you!

It's possible the front pads were installed incorrectly creating your noise, look at the graphic below and make sure only the inboard pads have the humps.

I apologize, The noise was before I installed the pads. I installed them to see if that helped. I did install them the correct way like in the diagram. My other idea is maybe a warped rotor.

Your post doesn't really indicate whether the noise is coming from the front or rear. A rumble on accel followed by a whine on decel sounds a lot like a pinion bearing.
