I give up....
Everyone should pull 10k plus with their half tons...
Doesn't hurt stopping distance, handling in mountains, sway with wind...
They handle amazing....that's what most salesman say too
You seriously think you are not over on legal limits???
Whatever
Anyone pulling 10k regularly should be in a 3/4 ton.

You'd be guessing wrong. Before this truck I had an '00 Excursion, '08 F250, and an '11 F350. The difference is most certainly not night and day; in fact I find the much tighter rack and pinion steering and IFS of the F150 to make for an easier time keeping the truck centered in its lane on the highway.

Well you would be one of very few who thinks difference isn't night and day...

The gy wranglers will not be acceptable for you, these are only 4 ply and that weight will crush the sidewall, this could be dangerous if the tire blows out, I carry weight with my truck and immediately replaced the stockies with revo 2

If you ever get in a situation where the trailer is steering for you,you will quickly discover the undersized truck is only marginally up to the task.
If it was just me on the road I'd feel fine in the 1/2 ton. But with other drivers on the road the safety factor and control simply can't be matched in extreme situations. Safety is about accounting for control in extreme situations. Not cruising down the hwy. That is what gets us the yota pulling a space shuttle. Manufacturer tow ratings have gotten silly. Just because the drivetrain is up to the task doesn't mean the rest of the truck us.

Okay, then I must be fooling myself. If anyone wants to bring their 3/4 ton truck to Union, CT I'll load up a car and we can do some towing and make some comparisons. You wouldn't be the first Super Duty owner to try my truck out towing something heavy. Perhaps you'd be fooled too.
