2014 stx heated mirrors
Hi folks,
I just spent a lot of money purchasing OEM towing mirrors, that has the turn signals, puddle lamps etc. and was told here shortly after I purchased my new truck, that I just needed to get a new switch, or module, as ford calls it, and the mirrors would have the heated option also. That being said, I followed the bouncing ball, the dealer ordered the module, scheduled the swap of the factory mirrors, and I went today and had everything installed. Well, it all works great except for the heated mirror part, nothing. The turn signals, puddle lamps, etc. all good, however, when you push the button for the heat option of the mirrors, nothing. The dealer took another module from a truck that had heated mirrors installed from the factory, plugged it in my truck, it said it was installed, but to no avail, no heated mirrors, ha. Any suggestions or someone that knows how to rectify this problem? thanks.

That's odd. Mine plugged right in once I had the correct HVAC button assembly. Do you have a rear defroster? If not you will need the HVAC that is for ONLY heated mirrors. Also make sure to check you have the fuse in place to feed the heated option. Hope that helps.

still no heat to my mirrors
Hey Zax, I just spoke to the dealership again, and they assured me that the HVAC button for only heated mirrors was installed, and the fuse for heat was also there and good, so, that being said, I'm still stuck without heated mirrors, all of the other buttons, lights, etc. work. They don't have a clue as to what to do next, any more suggestions? ha, thanks

What part number did they use for the heated mirror button?
Should be: #DL3Z19980E
Should be: #DL3Z19980E

What's the part number? If it doesn't match the part number above and you're just doing heated mirrors on a 2014. You'll need that exact part number.

If you have the part in your possession. Give it a shot. However, I'm fairly certain it will NOT work.
I have a '14 also, and already did the power fold mirror mod. I just have to get the Controller for the heated mirrors. Which is part #DL3Z19980E. This part has been proven to be the one that's needed in the 2011-14's for heated mirrors only (no rear defrost). It is in another thread on here somewhere.

still no heat
Well, after checking with the dealer, they informed me, before I gave them the correct HVAC button part #, that they indeed did, order and install the DL3Z19980E, soooo, that being said, they only offered to pull it and install it in a truck that is equipped with heated mirrors to see if it works, and of course, I said, they can check the fuse, which, I don't really know if its good or bad. Any more suggestions before Thursday, I have a appointment at 10. Thanks for all your help guys, I appreciate it. Will post more.
