Default 2014 platinum wind noise

so i just got a brand new 2014 platinum screw with 90 miles on it....so im hearing a wind noise at speeds of i would say 40 and up. ive been doing a lot of reading on this forumn and havent really heard of any solutions. i dont have a bugshield or anything aftermarket. also when cars go by you can really "hear" them as they go by? like the door is really thin. i just sold my 09 king ranch with 166,000 miles and it was way quieter inside and before that i had an 08 f150 limited that was so quiet? anybody have any ideas?

Weather seal/stripping?
On another forum I saw the SuperDuty guys take surgical tubing and slide it into the door seals to stiffen the seal. Takes a bit of lubrication. Does it sound like it's for sure coming from door seals?

well i would assume it is in one of the 3 seals weather its the door window seal.....door seal......or the pillar seal im not sure. its not the windsheild just seems to be coming from the door somewhere. i might try taping off the door gaps and such o see if i cant eliminate some of the seals in question

If the DIY approach doesn't work out, neonbobo, I'd recommend bringing your truck by the dealer so they can inspect. Additionally, I'll be happy to move this up the line to your regional customer service manager. To make that happen, send me a PM with your full name, bets daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

I just took my 13 F150 lariat on a 1400 mile trip and experienced the same noise on the last 700 miles. My wind noise was coming from the passenger side. Since I didn't have the noise the first 700 miles I started messing with everything at a rest stop. After adjusting the weatherstripping it seemed to go away. The annoying noise hasn't come back but after sitting in the passenger seat with the wife driving I can hear a lot more wind noise from that side. The drivers side seems to seal better.

I have the same thing happening with my 2011 F150 ecoboost and when I took it to the dealer I was told it was normal and there was no fix. Still under factory warranty also.

Had the same problem, took it to the dealer, he ordered a fairing, we will see if that fixes things. Crystal is awesome!

well i taped off all the drivers side door gaps and it seemed to be worse..... crystal if i bring it in to the dealership they will prob send it to my place of employment. i live in a small town and work at a bodyshop so dealerships with problems like that end up at my work for us to figure out.... i would love it to get this figured out though kinda hard to justify paying $55,000 for a brand new truck that has a louder cabin then my 166,000 mile truck

I also have a Platinum that I thought was a little noisier than it should be. I also put tape over all the seams. It did not make any difference, so I brought it in thinking they would tell me it was normal. The drivers side is definitely louder. The dealership let me take a 2014 Platinum for a ride. Well that 2014 was louder than my 2013 so I gave up on it. Now I wonder if it is inherent on the Platinum which really doesn't make any sense.
