Is oil leaking onto the steering rack? If so I couldn't imagine it being very good for the sensitive electronics inside.

I do my own oil and filter on my 2014 5.0 every 5K. No matter how careful you are and no matter how much you wipe up after some oil stays up there and drips down after.

First in line at the dealer at 0700. Told I would have to leave it but it wouldn't even be looked at until tomorrow morning at the earliest. I left and was told to call ahead to see the wait or try another dealer... I'll keep my thoughts on this to myself.

It's the absolute busiest week of the year for them. I tried to drop my truck off last Monday and was asked to bring it back last Tuesday. Brought it back, dropped it off, got a loaner, picked it up yesterday. They were slammed. I think my service writer called in sick and they made him come in, felt bad for the guy.

Anyways...drop it off, get a loaner and let them deal with it. they may need to clean it and let it sit and weep a little to find it anyhow.

Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions! I'm sure those experiencing these symptoms appreciate it.

I'm here to help, crazydubc. I'll escalate this to the regional customer service manager for further assistance; they'll work with your dealer to reach the best resolution. What I'll need to get started is a PM with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, current mileage, and best daytime contact number. I'll get started right away!

Yeah I had an appointment and the loaner would cost me according to the service manager. I am currently trying to work it out with them locally. They are saying their bays are full of vehicles with complex issues...mainly. Oil leaks. Sounds fun.

Brittany: Thanks for the help. Let me wait till after the holiday and work with the dealer before I go any higher.

Possible that when they changed the filter the gasket from the previous filter was stuck on there and wasnt removed. Maybe. Curious what they find out.
