Default 2014 fx4 sony sound system

I have only had my truck for a few days but I don't see why people are complaining about the sound quality. Maybe they improved on the 14's, mine sound awesome. Way better than my wife's 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland. It has plenty of bass and overall sound pretty good.

Depends on your interpretation and experience. Whatever ripoff factory Rockford Fosgate inspired sound system I had in my 2010 Titan was the best stock system by far. It trumped any Bose, Kicker, Alpine or whatever else I have had. That said my Ford is alright. I am going to do the mod that many have done here and stuff some poly fill in the sub enclosure to get the bass lows a little more prominent. Other than that its not a bad system or anything.... but I'm not that picky either. My engines noise is way better anyway.

I have to find the thread. Its on this forum somewhere. All you do is pull the sub out of its box and pack poly fill in the corners around it plus lightly stuff the rest of the box lightly only leaving the area behind the sub open. I will see if I can find the thread.

I preferred the Alpine in my '12 Dodge but other than a rattle in my passenger door, it's not bad at all. Definitely okay for a stock system, none of which compare to even decent aftermarket setup.

it's definitely better than the regular system I had in my 2012. Sure, aftermarket would be better, but if you dont want or plan to upgrade the sound system in your truck, it's quite decent!

i have a 2014 and this is my opinion of it. its only decent if you have the bass set at zero and dont turn it up all the way. any songs with loud bass and the system draws power from the mids and highs. its not loud enough. max volume is ok but you cant crank the system to rock out lol. the poly fill in the sub is a good mod. i ended up buying a pillow because wallyworld didnt have bags of poly fill. overall im dissapointed but like anything oem they leave room for improvement
