Default 2014 F150 FX4 needs shocks

I have an FX4 with factory 20' wheels and factory tow package. 120K on them and a hell of a bed hope at times. I would like to change out the shocks, and possibly the struts as well, with the high mileage. I'm looking for suggestions.

Bilsteins are a pretty popular choice, I like mine.

Usually bilsteins 5100 series for about $350 or rancho 9000xl's for under ~$600 all around. Those are about the best bang for the buck. You can get better by going better coilovers (like fox) but that is easily going to run you around $800+ just for the front.

Your money so you get to decide how crazy you want to go

The Bilstein 5100's calmed the rear bouncing a lot on mine

I have the Fox 2.0's on the back of mine and they definitely improved the multiple bounces felt when going over bumps. However, I would be a little skeptical on recommending the Fox coilover set-ups as there are a few guys on this site that have had issues with them and Fox has not warrantied their claims. I would suggest searching this forum and doing some research before buying them. I'm not saying NOT to buy them buy do your own research first.

Definitely buy informed and do your due diligence on anything, but the amount of abuse I've put fox coilover shocks through on my rzr is ridiculous...and they are easy and cheap to fix for the most part. I personally wouldn't put them on my truck, I don't need them so why waste the money. The rancho 9000xl's will be great for me once I have time to install them instead of looking at them on my garage floor. I like that they do have some rough adjustments easily accessible on them. I don't know if they are that much better than the bilsteins but I like that adjustment aspect so I paid a little more for it.

If you do want better but don't want fox check out halo lifts (f150lifts), king shocks, etc.

I've put Bilstein's on every other truck I've owned and have always been impressed with what they do to the ride. I think they're hard to beat for the money, so as soon as my shocks start going on this truck I plan on replacing them with Bilsteins.

As soon as Bilstein 5100s finally became available, I ordered a full set and had local Ford dealer install 'em at OEM-equivalent ride height. That was at prox 5500 miles (truck now has whopping 6500 total miles since brand new)...

I got a deal on some Fox 2.0 coil overs. I love them. Currently saving up for the rears.
